About Sam Schweikert
Sam Schweikert is a multi-talented and versatile actor who has forged a unique path in the industry. After graduating from the University of Southern California's Business and Cinematic Arts joint program, Sam began working as a set PA and Assistant Director in TV and film. These opportunities allowed for Sam to work hand in hand with some incredible Hollywood talents such as Spike Jonze, Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, Sam Rami, Bill Hader, Phil Lord, and Chris Miller. Sam used his on set experience and love for the craft to immediately book a network Co-Star on the CW's Hart of Dixie. After developing his acting talents at The Michael Laskin Studio, as well as with the talented actor and teacher John Posey, Sam's work began to shine. He was the lead of the incredibly memorable 2017 Budweiser Superbowl spot "Born the Hardway" which garnered numerous awards and widespread praise including a cover story in Adweek.
Sam is currently portraying Arthur Packard in the second season of the award winning western series ELKHORN on INSP. Getting to bring this real-life turn of the century newsman to life on screen over the course of 2 seasons has been a dream come true for Sam. He has loved shooting on location, working with horses, firearms, period accurate costuming, and authentic news printing props of the 1880s.
VERTICAL FEATURE PROJECTS
Over the past 2 years Sam has become a mainstay in soap-opera/vertical-format features. He has been the lead in over 25 different projects for a majority of the biggest platforms in the industry. (Reelshort, Dramabox, Candyjar, and Goodshort) He has used that time hone is on-set technical craft, line memorization skills given the significant pages being shot per day (upwards of 20 pages), and how to lead a set in terms of energy and moral as #1 on the callsheet.
